Glazed Carrots

4 Servings, easily doubled
Prep time: 10 Minutes
Cook time: 40 Minutes
Difficulty: Easy

1 pound of fresh carrots
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
Salt and pepper

Peel the carrots and cut them into thick slices. Drop them into boiling water for about 20 minutes or until they are as tender as you like them. Drain. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar until blended. Stir in the carrots and add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 8 minutes. Serve. Enjoy!

This has been a traditional Thanksgiving side dish forever. I make them at other times, too just because we like them and they are easy to make. Deven and Sierra certainly ate their share at Sheila’s house a few Christmases ago.
