Carrito Meat Seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons All-Purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons chili powder (up to 4 1/2 if you are brave)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt (Lawry’s)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon bouillon paste (Better than Bouillon) dissolved in:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  1. In a medium bowl, combine all the dry ingredients.
  2. In a measuring cup, dissolve the bouillon paste in the one cup of water by heating in microvave for 2 minutes and stirring.
  3. Crumble the ground beef into a large skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring, until browned. Remove from heat and drain grease from beef.
  4. Return meat to skillet, sprinkle seasoning, stir to coat. Stir in water bouillon paste mixture. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until the liquid has reduced, about 8 minutes.
