Need just enough dough to make top and bottom pie crusts? Here is Mom’s recipe.
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
7/8 cups vegetable shortening (Crisco)
1/4 tsp. salt
5 Tbs. cold water
Mix well 2 cups flour and the shortening. Add the salt and water and mix until as Mom says “It sort of stays together” or until it looks and feels like dough. Split the dough into two portions and use remaining flour to roll out.
