{"id":741,"date":"2010-12-13T07:00:13","date_gmt":"2010-12-13T07:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pauldearing.com\/?p=741"},"modified":"2023-11-24T12:29:10","modified_gmt":"2023-11-24T20:29:10","slug":"soft-rolls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pauldearing.com\/?p=741","title":{"rendered":"Soft Rolls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients:<br \/>\n1 2\/3 cups 2% reduced fat milk (room temperature)<br \/>\n4 1\/2 cups bread flour<br \/>\n1\/2 ounce active dry yeast<br \/>\n2 3\/4 teaspoons salt<br \/>\n4 tablespoons sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 cup unsalted butter<br \/>\n2 eggs<br \/>\n2 TBS melted butter<\/p>\n<p>Instructions<br \/>\n1.Mix milk, flour, yeast, salt, sugar, butter and eggs using a dough hook at low speed. Increase speed to medium, and mix until dough, when stretched, forms a fine membrane or window (about 15 minutes).<br \/>\n2. Transfer dough to an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise 1 hour.<br \/>\n3. Portion dough into 2-ounce balls (about the size of a small lime, you should be able to make about 24). Roll each ball to form a rope about 15 inches long on a lightly floured surface. Braid into a knot. (Twist the ends of the rope together then tuck them under the loop.  It will look like a compact simplified pretzel.) Place on baking sheet.<br \/>\n4. Let rolls rise 30 to 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 350F.<br \/>\n5. Bake 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.<br \/>\n6.
