{"id":723,"date":"2010-12-13T06:46:45","date_gmt":"2010-12-13T14:46:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pauldearing.com\/?p=723"},"modified":"2011-06-04T16:58:06","modified_gmt":"2011-06-04T23:58:06","slug":"baby-back-ribs-and-bbq-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pauldearing.com\/?p=723","title":{"rendered":"Baby Back Ribs and BBQ Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients<br \/>\n\u2022\t3-4 racks of baby-back pork ribs<br \/>\n\u2022\tPrepared barbecue sauce (recipe below) <\/p>\n<p>BBQ SAUCE<br \/>\n\u2022\t2 cups ketchup<br \/>\n\u2022\t1 small onion, minced<br \/>\n\u2022\t1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic<br \/>\n\u2022\t4 cups water<br \/>\n\u2022\t1 cup cider vinegar<br \/>\n\u2022\t2 tablespoons paprika<br \/>\n\u2022\t1 tablespoon honey<br \/>\n\u2022\t1\/4 cup dark brown sugar<br \/>\n\u2022\t1\/4 cup chili powder<br \/>\n\u2022\t1\/4 cup fresh lemon juice<br \/>\n\u2022\t3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce<br \/>\n\u2022\t2 teaspoon liquid smoke<br \/>\n\u2022\tblack pepper <\/p>\n<p>Directions<br \/>\n\u2022\tPrepare double portion of this sauce a day ahead and chill overnight.<br \/>\n\u2022\tIn a saucepan combine all ingredients and bring to a slow boil, stirring occasionally to prevent from scorching (about 30-35 minutes).<br \/>\n\u2022\tStrain the sauce to remove the solids.<br \/>\n\u2022\tCool to about room temperature; cover and chill overnight or up to 2 days.<\/p>\n<p>Ribs<br \/>\n\u2022\tIn a large stock pot, bring about 6 quarts of water to a boil.<br \/>\n\u2022\tCut racks in halves or thirds if necessary to fit them in the pot.<br \/>\n\u2022\tBoil ribs for 40 minutes.<br \/>\n\u2022\tRemove ribs from water and place them in plastic bags (meat side down).
