Mom&#8217;s recipe actually came from the Quaker Oatmeal box and features uncooked oatmeal as an ingredient. When I saw this recipe that calls for cooked oatmeal, I was intrigued. The ingredients are similar so the flavor is familiar, but we liked the texture and consistency much more.
