Tedious Red Potatoes
Categories: Sides

6 or 7 red potatoes
7 or 8 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
6 TBL butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1 TBL olive oil
1 tsp dried sage
Salt and pepper to taste

Boil the potatoes to the desired degree of doneness. Drain and cut potatoes in half.
Melt butter in microwave and stir in garlic powder. The longer these two are combined, the more garlic flavor is absorbed by the butter.
Cook bacon, drain and crumble.
Pour off excess bacon fat.  In pan used to cook bacon, add potatoes, bacon, butter, olive oil, and sage.  Over low heat, heat thoroughly, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt and pepper to taste.

I didn’t want to compete with the turkey that was already in the oven, so I modified the "Red Potatoes with Bacon and Sage" recipe.  We loved the outcome.
Easy but tedious, only from the standpoint that you cook two parts separately and then combine to finish up.
